Meet Our Leaders

Rev. Chad Brown, Interim Pastor

Pastor Chad Brown joins us as Interim Pastor as our Pastoral Search Committee continues their work on identifiying a permanent Senior Pastor for Pathway Church.  Chad works with the Great Lakes Region of the Wesleyan Church.  His specialties include leadership development and helping churches transition from long term pastors to new church leadership.  We are excited to have him at Pathway during this time of transition!    Chad and his wife Tracy are both ordained ministers in the Wesleyan Church and they have three grown children.

Terra Penninga, Assistant Pastor

Terra grew up in Southern Illinois and moved to West Michigan after graduating from Southern Illinois University in 2004. Terra has been with Pathway Church since 2016.  Even though she attended church in childhood, she didn't decide to fully follow Christ until she was in her late teens.   After several years of working in lawncare and landscaping, Terra decided to pursue full-time ministry.  She currently holds her Licensed Minister credentials through The Wesleyan Church, and is in the process of fulfilling ordination requirements.  Terra's favorite part of ministry is seeing people grow in their faith and watching them experience freedom as they walk with Jesus Christ.

Terra lives in Saranac with her husband, Andy, who is a crop and cattle farmer.   Andy and Terra have two children.  When she's not working, she enjoys finding non-mainstream music to enjoy, working on do-it-yourself home projects, and mowing the lawn!

Kim Paton, Worship Director

Kim has been involved in ministry in several churches and in multiple denominations over the last two decades. Kim enjoys worship in every context.  She is a proponent of an entire lifestyle of sacrificial worship to God, and believes worship is much more than just singing a few songs on a Sunday morning. In addition to directing worship on Sunday mornings, Kim is the co-creator of Women of Grace, our local Women's Ministry.  She holds a Master's Degree and LLC in Educational Counseling from Western Michigan University.

Kim and her husband have been married since 1995 and have three sons.  Ministering to all age groups, one of Kim's favorite parts of ministry is watching the Word of God (the Bible) transform people's hearts and minds, totally changing their lives!
